Compania VDL a anuntat ca urmeaza sa produca in premiera pentru piata din Europa a unui autobuz cu podeaua joasa full electric.
Acesta se numeste VDL Adagio Access Low Floor Electric si reprezinta producatorului urmatorul pas in modernizarea flotelor de autobuze care au emisii de poluare zero.
Noul Adagio poate sa functioneze si in regim hybrid, acesta fiind echipat cu o serie de acumulatori de mare putere care se incarca dimineata in parcul auto printr-un sistem plug-in.
Autonomia noului autobuz in modul full electric este de 200 de km conform producatorului.
In prezent VDL produce autobuzul hibrid SLF 120 Hybrid care utilizeaza atat un motor diesel cat si un propulsor electric.

The VDL will have a world premiere at the UITP Congress, held in Geneva from 27 to 30 May, the electric version of its model of urban bus Citea. Length of 12 meters, low floor and all-electric propulsion, the new Electric Citea SLF will be available in a combination of several engine options and electric battery packs to ensure the best solution for each type of operation without sacrificing affordability, interior configuration or comfort.
SLF The VDL Adagio Access Low Floor Electric can come equipped with a large set of batteries that are charged via a wall outlet connection (plug-in), allowing use in trajetyos mis long without recharging intermediate.
This, however, has limitations in terms of passenger numbers. Should the operator choose a more flexible solution without penalty in the number of passengers and a periodic charging during operation, there is a possibility smaller battery can be combined with various methods of fast charge, in particular by induction, by air (with a trolley) or plug-in system.
For optimal operation, the Dutch manufacturer proposes a solution with ‘extension of self’, allowing travel up to 200 kilometers on a single charge. This option has no consequences in terms of transport capacity or comfort.
As a means of energy storage options include a fuel cell, battery or diesel generator.
